24 Oct Access to Royal Society of Chemistry journals through Heal-Link
We would like to inform you that, according to an announcement of the Hellenic Academic Libraries Link, HEAL-Link has signed a three-year license agreement, for the period 2019-2021, with the publishing house Royal Society of Chemistry.
This agreement is the first “Read & Publish” transformative agreement, with perpetual rights in 40 scientific journals. At the same time, the agreement provides the possibility of publishing 60 articles per year in Open Access, a number which is equal to the average of the Greek publications at the Royal Society of Chemistry, without the Article Processing Charges (APC). With this agreement, the Greek researchers in the Chemistry and the related sciences can increase the extroversion of their research, without paying any fees.
All researchers of member-institutions of HEAL-Link have the right to publish their articles without paying any fees. In order to waive the Article Processing Charges (APC), the corresponding author should use his or her institutional email address when submitting the article. The agreement covers all types of articles and allows the author to retain all copyrights of the publication. Only for the year 2019, the year of the signing of the agreement, RSC will contact the Greek authors who have already published their articles in its journals to ask them if they wish to convert their article into Open Access.
